Jeanine and Michael live in Martinez and have raised eight beautiful kids (his, hers and theirs). At last count, they were the proud grandparents of 17. |

Rachel Lee
Rachel has lived in Martinez for 21 years and has raised two wonderful daughters, Marina and Alison. They're both in college now, and she's very proud of them. With her daughters at school, Rachel now gets to spend more quality time with her 11-year old dog Katie, listening to Christian radio and puttering around her house. |

Sharon Wood
I work with kids because I think they’re amazing, and I learn from them every week. I love to see the look on their faces when they “get it”! I want kids to know that they were created by God, for God, and that He has a purpose for their lives. I know that kids can become strong followers of Jesus at a young age and learn to use their God-given gifts to serve the Lord and those around them. |

Tiffany Polido
Tiffany lives with her family in Clayton, and works in Lafayette. She's a hard worker with a degree in Architecture from UC Berkeley. Still, she claims her favorite movie is The Little Mermaid and her favorite place is Disneyland. She's a perfect fit with our kids! |

Traci Mitchell
Traci and her husband Norris live in the little town of Mountain House and teaches at nearby Wicklund Elementary School. She is a doting teetee (auntie) to two special girls. Her favorite sport is football, and to say that Traci is a Raiders fan would be a gross understatement - she LOVES the Raiders! |

Hope Birdwell
Hope met her husband Huey at New Life, and they’ve been married since 2001. They live in Clayton with Hope’s four kids: Tiffany, John, Missy and Lisha. With Huey’s three kids, they have quite the family. Hope works for a law firm in Walnut Creek, and she enjoys cooking (no surprise there!), serving others (no surprise there either!), event planning and sewing costumes. |

Martha has raised two beautiful daughters, who are now in college and has worked for 25 years in the financial services industry. Martha also serves New Life as a member of the Board of Trustees. |

Michele Maule
Michele lives in Pleasant Hill with her husband Don, two children (Micah and Laura), a dog and two guinea pigs. Michele works in the New Life office. She enjoys morning runs with Misty (the dog), mystery novels, scrapbooking, organizing stuff and working in the garden. |

Missy is a busy DVC student, who hopes to transfer to UC Davis to study animal biology. In her free time you can find her dancing, snowboarding and spending time with her friends and family. Missy’s favorite holiday is Halloween – it’s all about the fabulous homemade costumes! |

Pamela works for an insurance brokerage firm in the workers’ compensation area. In her spare time, she’s an avid reader and movie buff. She loves to dance and also loves church worship because she can sing without being detected. |

She is a recent graduate of Clayton Valley High, now attending DVC. Alisha has been doing tae kwon do for five years and is now a black belt. She also enjoys playing the guitar, snowboarding and spending time with family and friends. |

Jon Polido Jon works with the Pre-K and kindergarten kids in Little Lambs. He’s had lots of practice being an older brother and setting a good example, so it’s a natural fit for him to take on the same role with New Life Kids! Jon likes answering their (MANY) questions and then later hearing them talk about something he’s taught them. Jon is a business major at San Jose State, and keeps himself pretty busy with his hobbies, too. He’s been doing tae kwon do for five years and has reached the black belt level. Jon also likes cars – a lot! He’s a member of a car team called Jinsoky, which competes in car shows all over the area. |

Jojo Tanos
Jojo works in real estate and lives in Concord with his family, including four children --three teenagers and a toddler! Jojo is a man of prayer and lovingly raises his family with God’s word as the basis for their daily lives. |

Susana Tanos
She and her husband Jojo continue to hone their parenting skills with various workshops. Their favorite text, however, is God’s Word, which they use everyday in the course of raising their children. |
Clarissa teaches in our Little Lambs (Pre-K to K) class because she just LOVES arts and crafts! Before coming to New Life, Clarissa taught Sunday School in the Philippines for five years. We’re glad she’s here now because Clarissa is wonderful with our little ones – she really loves them, and they really love her!
Jeanine and her husband Michael have been members of New Life for 14 years, and she has been involved with Children’s Ministry for 11 of them! Jeanine says she teaches both because she loves children and because she wants to share the love of Christ with kids, as many people did for her when she was growing up. As a child, Jeanine went to churches in towns all across the country (even though her mom claimed to be an atheist) because the family of God graciously invested time in her life. These investments ultimately resulted in Jeanine’s relationship with her Lord and Savior.
Rachel has been at New Life since 2000. She is very soft spoken, but she ministers powerfully to the children in our Little Lambs (Pre-K and K) class. She says that she just loves sharing the Good News with them! Rachel is one of the most organized and responsible people you’ll meet, too. In addition to serving as an usher and greeter, Rachel serves New Life Kids! by organizing all the supplies used in their lessons each week.
Hi, I’m Sharon Wood, and I’m the Children’s Pastor for New Life Christian Fellowship. I have been married to Phil for 28 years and have three children in their teens: Kellen, Ally, and Miles. We’ve lived in Pleasant Hill since 1983 and love it here. Some of my hobbies are reading, spending time with family and friends, solving Sudoku puzzles (even though I am not very good at them!), going to the movies, and making music. I play the violin and love music of all sorts.
Tiffany serves in the New Life Kids! nursery. Her arms are a favorite destination for our littlest ones. Tiffany has been
working with children her entire life, being the oldest of five in her family and a much in-demand babysitter for many years.
She has recently assumed a leadership role among the nursery staff.
Traci is a gifted teacher serving in our One Way/Passport (elementary) classes. She says that she gets "unspeakable joy"
when she sees the light go on with her students. Traci came to New Life from a church of over 6000 members, where she began
working in children's ministry.
Hanna serves in our nursery, usually alongside her husband Richard. They have two little boys, Timothy and Nathan. Timothy recently “graduated” to Little Lambs from the nursery, leaving little brother Nathan to help out his folks. You can usually find Hanna with one of the boys perched comfortably on her hip
Hope has been an active New Lifer since 1999. She’s a servant extraordinaire and has served in most of the ministries at New Life. Currently, she’s the Fellowship ministry leader and also lovingly serves in our Little Lambs (pre-K and K) class. Hope loves her New Life family by feeding it. She prepares a breakfast for all the Sunday morning servants, and she always brings an amazing snack to her classroom.
Martha has served with New Life Kids! for several years and now teaches in our One Way/Passport (elementary grades) classes. She knows personally how important Sunday School is to children because she came to faith at six years old, led by her Sunday School teacher. Besides that, Martha just seems to have a great time on Sunday mornings with the kids – and the kids have a great time with her, too!
Michele has been working with New Life Kids! since shortly after she and her family began attending New Life in 2001. She enjoys working with the One Way/Passport (elementary) classes because this is the age where real faith begins to “click” in kids. On Sunday mornings you can either find her in the classroom or taking care of business at the Multimedia Ministry (M3) table.
Missy works with the Pre-K and kindergarten children in our Little Lambs class. Missy loves to engage with the kids, watching their progress throughout the year. They love her because they know how much she likes to listen to them.
Pamela has been a member of New Life for 18+ years. Pamela loves children and lovingly serves our littlest ones in the nursery. Even when she’s not in the nursery, Pamela usually has a baby in her arms! God has blessed her with a beautiful daughter, who is now a teenager. She’s a native of Florida (and visits as often as she can) but has called Pleasant Hill home for over 25 years.
Richard is one of our devoted nursery staff, generally working along with his wife Hanna. The pair has two young boys, Timothy and Nathan. Timothy recently graduated from the nursery to Little Lambs, leaving Nathan to hold down the fort in the nursery. Richard is usually outfitted with a little boy on one side and a diaper bag on the other.
Alisha works with our Little Lambs class. She loves working with the Pre-K and kindergarten age group because they learn so much so fast right in front of you. Alisha comes from a big family and has always loved being around little ones.
Denise works with the littlest New Lifers in the Nursery. As a grandmother of 11, she’s had lots of practice loving babies! Denise has been coming to New Life since 2001 and has been involved in the Fellowship, First Impressions, Children’s and Office ministries. Denise especially enjoys working in the Nursery because she really enjoys seeing children in church. She began attending church with her grandmother, who was a Sunday School teacher, and still remembers the songs she used to sing!
Jojo works with his wife Susana in the New Life Nursery. He’s been attending New Life since 2001. Jojo and Susana have been married for 21 years.
Susana works with our little ones in the Nursery. As a working mom of four children (three teenagers and a toddler), she understands how important it is for parents to be able to listen to a message without having to simultaneously attend to a small child. Susana has been attending New Life with her family since 2001.
